Fighting the Good Fight

I’ve come rather close to maiming a few drunks in my time:

There was a nearly Charlottesville-level incident back in July. I was kiki-ing with several old friends who happened to be black and brown. (Tall, strong, quick, sensible friends!) Some drunk, skinny, white fratboy decided he’d like to test the boundaries of his white privilege. Unfortunately, the waitress dragged him out the door before he became a greasy spot on the ceramic tiles.

The funny thing about the situation is that we had just been discussing the importance of de-escalation during confrontation when the dumb, drunk 🍘 walked in.

Texas Hold-em is sometimes a full-contact sport. ♦️♠️♥️♣️
