I believe you and I are in agreement most of the time, Sam. And when we are not, it usually means I have more to learn.
It is absolutely correct that we should be shocked and angry that a man is attacked in this way.
It would take an awful lot of evidence to persuade me that this man arranged this attack as a hoax. If true, it would be very disturbing if the attack turns out to have been staged
I am attuned to the story and have not decided what the truth of the matter is . . . too soon to say. It’s troubling regardless, and that’s about all I can say at this point in time.
I’m AM, HOWEVER, disgusted by the bigots who are so quick to call the thing a hoax without any valid reason to do so.
A problem I see is folks’ incessant need to comment when only partially informed. It’s a function of this ridiculous concept of a “news cycle” fueling a social-media opining-frenzy.
The reaction to the story sometimes reveals more than the story itself.
