and “We are all connected . . .”

I have been working on a piece with some similar themes, Jeremy.

A couple of my thoughts after reading yours are are:

  1. Ever since I read Crime & Punishment, I actively avoid Dostoevsky; his writing is just too damned depressing for me.
  2. My “Eastern religion” college transformation came in the form of Benjamin Hoff’s book, The Tao of Poo. For whatever reason, my World History & Civilizations I teacher required it. I think she felt bad the text was so Western Civ-centric.

Until I can pull my ideas together into a coherent and finished work, here are a couple of videos your piece dredged up from my memory.
