and “We are all connected . . .”
I have been working on a piece with some similar themes, Jeremy.
A couple of my thoughts after reading yours are are:
- Ever since I read Crime & Punishment, I actively avoid Dostoevsky; his writing is just too damned depressing for me.
- My “Eastern religion” college transformation came in the form of Benjamin Hoff’s book, The Tao of Poo. For whatever reason, my World History & Civilizations I teacher required it. I think she felt bad the text was so Western Civ-centric.
Until I can pull my ideas together into a coherent and finished work, here are a couple of videos your piece dredged up from my memory.
